As you exit the airport you will see a sign for the bus stop. You have to take the bus number X1 to the main bus station in Thessaloniki (K.T.E.L = K.T.E.Λ). You have to get off on the last stop, the bus station has a large spherical roof and the journey takes around 45 minutes and the ride costs 1,80 euro. These local bas from the airport to KTEL departs every 30 minutes. You have to buy your ticket on the bus there are machines in which to buy them.
Take a bus from Thessaloniki bus station to Serres.
When you arrive at the bus station K.T.E.L go into the large entrance all, with all the counters for buying tickets and go to the counter that says (SERRON = ΣΕΡΡΩΝ). The price of a ticket for Thessaloniki to Serres is 8,20 €.
Once you have bought your ticket go to the large all with the spherical roof, where all the buses leave from, the stop is to the right and at the very end, there will be a sign above that says ΣΕΡΡΕΣ - SERRES.
Don’t get confused Serres and Serron (ΣΕΡΡΕΣ and ΣΕΡΡΩΝ) are the same. Make sure you arrive a little early as the buses usually leave exactly on time.
The buses usually leave every 60 minutes until 21:00.
Important:
Try to find a way how to get here so your arrival time on 22nd of May is before 18:00. So your arrival time at Thessaloniki’s Airport should be early in the afternoon in order to avoid the risk to lose the last bus to Serres.
